This program supports Indigenous families with a child or children aged from birth to 12 years living in the rural NSW towns of:

  • Gulargambone
  • Walgett (including Gingie and Namoi Reserves)

Working closely with families, our goal is to support and improve social, educational and well-being outcomes for children. This program is funded by The National Indigenous Australians Agency.

We do this by offering:

  • practical support and advocacy for families to access services including those that promote and support health and wellbeing
  • assistance to access childhood educational services such as supported playgroups, transition to school, preschool and school
  • assistance to help parents/carers engage in their child’s education
  • parenting support including information about health, budgeting, nutrition, time management, organisation skills, behaviour management, boundary setting and routines
  • young mums' support group
  • help to build self-esteem and empower families to stand up against violence and drug and alcohol abuse
  • culturally safe Yarn Up groups
